Actress Anna Koshmal Makes the Dreams of Two Daughters of Fallen Ukrainian Defenders Come True

The team behind 1+1 Media’s social initiative Make a Dream Come True continues to help fulfill the dreams of children whose parents defended Ukraine. The latest episode featured two beneficiaries of the Children of Heroes Foundation - 12-year-old Milena Hryshchenko and 14-year-old Anastasiia Pysarenko. Both girls are passionate about the work of actress Anna Koshmal.

Before the full-scale war, Milena’s family lived in Kharkiv. Her father, Artur Hryshchenko, defended Ukraine and was killed in action on January 9, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the Donetsk region. Later, the family home in their native city was destroyed as a result of Russian aggression.

The Pysarenko family is from Zaporizhzhia. In 2024, Anastasiia’s father, Yevhen Pysarenko, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On February 26, 2025, he was killed while trying to save a fellow serviceman during a missile strike. Today, Anastasiia dedicates each of her achievements to her father.

The two girls share a common dream: for several years, they have followed Anna Koshmal’s work and dreamed of meeting her in person. The 1+1 Media team helped them take a step towards making that dream come true by inviting them to Kyiv for a special city tour.

Nikita Dobrynin, host of Closer to the Stars on TET and a mentor of the initiative, showed Milena the historic heart of Kyiv. Later, she was in for the highlight of the day - a personal meeting with the actress.

“In such incredibly difficult times, we need one another. We need emotions, support, and the joy of living. Life goes on, no matter what. And our children deserve the very best. Your initiative is wonderful, and I am incredibly happy to support you and the children. I am sure that everything will work out for Milena. I wish her all her dreams come true. She was quite introverted during our meeting, but in some ways, she reminded me of myself at that age,” said Anna.

Meanwhile, Nataliia Ostrovska, TSN anchor and mentor of the initiative, invited Anastasiia for a walk around the VDNH exhibition center, where she was also able to meet the actress.

“Anastasiia is such a creative and inspiring person. We have a lot in common. When I was a teenager, I also wanted to try everything that interested me. That is why I sincerely admire her persistence and her clear vision of herself in particular fields. It is incredibly important and deserves respect. We often perform in Zaporizhzhia, so I am sure we will see each other many more times,” said the actress.

“I didn’t know where I was going or that everything had been planned in advance. Anna Koshmal is a role model for me. I have been following her work for a long time. Meeting her was a complete shock,” Anastasiia shared.
