Employer of the Year, secrets of teams from the largest Ukrainian companies – at the “SuperPeople” conference
Forbes Ukraine held a conference on April 25 called “Superpeople” – about increasing and preserving human capital during war.
CEOs and HR directors of leading companies spoke about their own approaches to achieving this goal. The event also announced for the first time who topped the list of the 50 best employers and who became the HR leader of 2025.
The discussion revolved around the topic of happiness, despite the tragedy of war. 30 speakers spoke in three thematic blocks (“World”, “Company”, “Person”), including HR leaders or CEOs of organizations and companies such as the National Bank of Ukraine, ANT, Metro, Interpipe, DVL, Ukrnafta, etc.
- Hope, patience, orientation towards long-term goals – this was the answer of the rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Taras Dobko, to the question of how to build despite everything. UCU is one of the most successful private universities, which has been developing for three decades.
- What makes the best the best? The participants of the discussion – co-founder and CEO of appflame Oleksandr Pasikov, CEO of Vodafone Olga Ustinova, regional director of Acino Yevhen Zaika – personify completely different corporate cultures that have one thing in common: they work. All three companies entered the top 50 employers of the country this year.
- What leadership virtues does General Valery Zaluzhny value the most? Professionalism, the ability to create meaning, a kind heart. And also – not being afraid of mistakes, because without them, the growth of teams is impossible.
- The role of humor and self-irony was discussed by the CEO of OMD agency Oksana Zhurovych and the CEO of Yasno Serhiy Kovalenko. The dialogue was moderated by the military serviceman and stand-up comedian Serhiy Chirkov.
- 65% of companies expect the situation to worsen and only a quarter are planning active expansion, said CEO robota.ua Valeriy Reshetnyak. 14% of companies are actively integrating artificial intelligence into business processes.
- Forbes recognized MHP Deputy Chairman of the Board Andriy Bulakh as the best HR leader this year. What is the secret of a corporate culture of many happy people? To gather under one umbrella those who are excited about achieving results, he believes.
- The best employer of 2025 is Intellias. The company took first place for the second time in a row, and since 2022 it has been consistently among the top ten. Its secret sauce? “A company where talent can show itself, where people are not afraid to ask the CEO a stupid question or show their vulnerability,” describes Intellias’ Way Vice President for Talent Management Roman Gapachilo.
