
Recruitment to the Expert Panel on Broadcasting on Days of Remembrance is now open: how to join?
The Public Union “Co-regulatory Body in the Field of Audiovisual Media Services” (hereinafter – the Body) announces recruitment to a panel responsible for preparing expert opinions on broadcasting on days of remembrance for linear audiovisual media.
The Expert Panel is an advisory body of the Organization that ensures the professional, impartial, and timely preparation of expert opinions regarding the compliance of disseminated information with the broadcasting rules on days of remembrance.
The Union is seeking specialists with experience in media, law, journalism, history, or related fields who are ready to work with sensitive topics, analytics, and content. It is important to have a higher education degree, at least 3 years of work experience, the ability to prepare analytical materials, work with large volumes of information, and understand media legislation.
What will the Expert Panel do?
- Prepare expert opinions on the compliance of information disseminated by media entities with the Rules;
- Generalize the practice of applying the Rules and provide proposals for their improvement;
- Contribute to increasing transparency and predictability of regulation by preparing and submitting materials to the Body for publication of generalized practice (without disclosing restricted information).
In addition, you will:
- Gain experience participating in working groups or expert bodies and working with sensitive topics (historical memory, war, traumatic experience);
- Become familiar with international standards in the field of media and human rights;
- Take part in developing recommendations, codes, or policies.
